Grande Blue
Steps cut into the cliff, a cove of clear water, and lunch above the sea.
Just south of Stegna, Grande Blue is a cove of no more than 150 metres, closed in by cliffs. The water is clear and calm, the bottom a mix of fine gravel and rock, and the snorkelling is some of the best on this stretch of coast.
Getting down
Steep steps cut into the cliff lead down to the beach. Not one for a pushchair; worth it for everyone else.
Eat
The restaurant above the cove serves seafood on a terrace over the water. Order the fish of the day with a carafe of Rhodian white, and book ahead in August.
