Koskinou
Painted doorways and pebble courtyards, minutes from the coast.
Koskinou sits on a low hill above the coast at Kallithea, but feels a world away from the resorts. Its lanes are lined with houses painted in bright colours, with carved doorways and courtyards paved in black-and-white pebble mosaics.
What to look for
- Doorways with painted frames, carved stone and pots of geraniums
- Pebble-mosaic courtyards, a Rhodian tradition
- The tall bell tower of Agios Loukas in the centre
- A kafeneio in the square for a Greek coffee
Good to know
Park at the edge of the village and walk. Kallithea Springs is a few minutes down the hill for a swim afterwards.
